Father, Small Business Owner, Working-Class Fighter

As a 26-year-old father, I realized something that kept me up at night: if our politics doesn’t change drastically—and soon—the world my children inherit will be one they can’t afford to live in. I look at the legacy of Alben Barkley—a man from right here who helped craft the New Deal—and I see what’s missing today. Barkley knew that the Democratic Party’s strength came from the soil and the shop floor, not corporate boardrooms. Growing up in the Deep South, I’ve watched the same heartbreaking cycle year after year. I’ve seen families working harder for less, while our Republican legislators choose to represent Corporate America over their own neighbors.
For too long, Frankfort has ignored Far Western Kentucky, treating our homes like an afterthought while catering to the 1%. I’m running to break that cycle and bring real transparency to District 3.
This isn’t just a campaign; it’s a call to action. It will take all of us—a multigenerational, multiracial, working-class coalition—to stand up against the corruption that has stalled our progress. We are going to change the Democratic Party from the South up, building systems that actually work for the people who clock in every morning.
I’m running to keep Frankfort accountable and to give a real voice to the families of Far Western Kentucky. It’s time we stopped settling. It’s time for Stick’n Up for the Working Class.

My professional history isn’t found in corporate boardrooms; it’s rooted in the same places where many of you spend your days: the service industry. I’ve been a cook since my very first job. After a stint in Lexington, when my partner and I learned we were expecting our son, there was only one choice to make: we moved home. I spent four years as a cook at freight house, where I didn’t just learn how to plate a meal—I learned the true meaning of discipline, organization, and teamwork. In a high-pressure kitchen, there is no room for ego; you either work together to serve your community, or everything falls apart.
Working on the line gives you a perspective you can’t get from a textbook. I’ve stood shoulder-to-shoulder with people who are the backbone of our economy, yet I’ve watched that same economy stomp on them. I’ve seen coworkers avoid the doctor for painful injuries and skip preventive care because they were terrified of a bill they couldn’t pay. I’ve seen hard-working people do everything right and still struggle to get a leg up. Those aren’t just “policy issues” to me—those are my friends and colleagues.
In 2025, I decided to take my work ethic and apply it to a new venture, opening the only Professional Sharpening Business in Far Western Kentucky. Transitioning from a cook to a small business owner has reinforced my belief in the ingenuity of our region. I know what it’s like to work for a paycheck. I’m running to bring that “back-of-house” work ethic to Frankfort—where results matter more than rhetoric.
